How do I use the Intellifront Smart Folders?

In this article, you will learn how to set up and manage Smart Folders in Intellifront.

Set up

Step 1 - Click on the Smart Collections tab

Step 2 - Select New Smart Collection

Step 3 - Create a new Smart Collection

  • Smart Collection Name: Give the smart folder a name.
  • Collection Description: Provide a description of the contents of the smart folder if desired. 
  • Match the Following Tags: Enter the tags you would like to use to group the contents together in the smart folder. 

You have now created a Smart Collection. 

 

Editing or Deleting a Smart Collection

To edit or delete a Smart Collection, click the three dots on the Smart Collection you would like to change. From there, you can edit the information you would like to use to identify the Smart Collection, or you can delete the Smart Collection altogether if desired. 

 

What's viewed in the Smart Collection?

Once you have created a smart folder, you can view any Gizmo, Dashboard, KPI, Crystal Report, Workflow, or Power BI Dashboard that contains the tags you would like to group. 

 

Editing or Executing anything in the Smart Collection

If you need to modify or run any Gizmo, Dashboard, KPI, Crystal Report, Workflow, or Power BI Dashboard that appears in the Smart Collection with your selected tag(s), you can do so directly from within the Smart Collection.

Just click the three dots on the item and then click Edit or Execute depending on what you want to do.

 

You have now created and managed a new Smart Folder in your Smart Folder Collection.
