Inserting the dataset ID into the RLS JSON using a link label
Step 1: In the Report Filter tab, click on Row Level Security.
Step 2: Check Use Row Level Security (Service Principal accounts only)
Step 3: Select Insert Dataset ID.
The Dataset ID has been added successfully.
Updating the Power BI schedule with the Dataset ID
Whether using a single schedule or package schedule, you can update any Power BI schedule with the Dataset ID through the context menu when you right click on the schedule.
Just right click on the schedule, select Tools, and select Update Dataset ID.
A window will pop up showing that the report updated successfully.
Packages
For a package schedule, once you select Update Dataset ID you will get a pop up asking if you want to update all Power BI reports in the package. Select Yes.
Folders
You can also update all of the Dataset IDs in a folder by following the same method of right clicking on the folder and selecting Update Power BI Dataset IDs.
A pop up will appear asking if you would like to update all of the Power BI reports in the folder. Click Yes.
You have now successfully updated the Dataset IDs.
