Execute a CRD Schedule Through the REST API

Submit an existing CRD schedule through the API, monitor the returned execution, and confirm the output at its destination.

Use the CRD REST API to start a schedule from your application. For an asynchronous run, save the returned ExecutionId so you can check its progress and final result.

Before you start

  • Confirm that the CRD API Service and CRD Scheduler are running.
  • Run the schedule successfully in CRD first. Check its report, parameters, and destinations.
  • Have valid authentication, the schedule’s unique ID, and its schedule type available.

Execute and verify the schedule

  1. Choose a working schedule and a destination you can check.
  2. Find its unique ID and schedule type in CRD or through the API’s discovery operations.
  3. Authenticate, then submit the execution request using the HTTP method and request format documented for that operation.
  4. For an asynchronous run, save the returned ExecutionId and use it to request execution status.
  5. Check the final execution result, then confirm that the expected file or message reached its destination.

The Quick Start: Execute and Monitor a Schedule provides the request workflow. Use the API Reference for the exact route, fields, and response of each operation.

An accepted request does not confirm delivery. If a request or status check times out, check the existing execution and destination before submitting another run. This helps avoid duplicate output.
