PBRS Version 4.5 Build 20250402 has been released. The following enhancements along with software fixes have been included.

PBRS Version 4.5 Build 20250402

Enhancements 

  • Introduced the ability to update existing Power BI schedules, Power BI Reports within a Package Schedule and all the Power BI Reports within a folder with their Dataset IDs, which can subsequently be utilized in the RLS JSON.
  • Added the ability to insert the Power BI Dataset ID into the RLS JSON using a link label.
  • Windows Authentication has been enhanced to further granularize permissions at the Active Directory level.
  • Added the ability to remove the additional row in a CSV output that is automatically generated when a line break occurs.
  • A Smart Folder may now be created containing all the failed Automation Schedules.
  • Added the option to keep schedule histories for up to 365 days.
  • The Schedule history view in Schedule Properties is now shown in a paginated format. 
  • Added functionality to incorporate inserts in the Target field for Filters in Data Driven schedules.
  • An endpoint has been added to the REST API to enable updating the parameters of a Single schedule.

Issues Resolved


  • In the Web Application, the Daily Repeat Every (days) setting is not saved correctly.
  • On occasion, Office365 accounts fail to be added. 
  • Unable to open the Schedule Properties from the Error Log within System Monitor.
  • The <[m]CurrentScheduleName> insert fails to function as intended when executing an Automation schedule that includes an "Execute Schedule" Custom Task followed by a "Send email" Custom Task.

  • Microsoft Server 2012 is in "End of Support" state. PBRS is no longer supported on this platform. If your software is still running on Microsoft Server 2012, please obtain a server with a newer operating system. Then, open a ticket for help migrating your software to the new server.

  • SMTP with Office 365 has been deprecated by Microsoft. Click to see how to continue using Office 365 in PBRS.
