Automate, Personalize and Deliver Tableau Reports with ATRS
ATRS is an on-premises Tableau report scheduler and automation platform for organizations that need more than standard Tableau subscriptions. Schedule, personalize, export, secure and distribute the right report to every customer, partner, location or team—even when recipients do not have Tableau licences. Automate the entire process without scripts, manual exports or repetitive administration.
Schedule reports by date, time, custom business calendar or operational event.
Use database data to control filters, parameters, formats, filenames and recipients.
Deliver PDF, Excel, CSV and image outputs through email, Teams, SharePoint, FTP, cloud storage and more.
When Native Tableau Subscriptions Are Enough—and When You Need ATRS
Native Tableau subscriptions are a good choice for licensed users who need PNG or PDF emails on a schedule or after a supported data refresh. Choose ATRS when report delivery becomes operational—requiring external recipients, data-driven personalization, additional formats, report packages, business-event triggers or destinations beyond email.
A good fit for straightforward internal delivery

Choose ATRS for advanced report distribution
Turn Tableau Reports Into Complete, Automated Report Packages
ATRS combines multiple Tableau views, applies the right filters, packages the output and delivers it automatically—without manual exporting, assembly or distribution.
Build one automated output from the reports your recipients actually need.
Assemble multiple reports into a single organized PDF for easier distribution and review.
Organize multiple report or data outputs into one workbook with separate tabs.
Apply different filters, parameters and content for each customer, department or recipient.
Run report packages on a schedule or in response to business and system events.
Send completed report packages to the recipients and destinations required by your workflow.
The result: ATRS replaces the manual process of exporting individual Tableau views, assembling files and distributing them with one repeatable automated workflow.
One Tableau Report.
Personalized for Every Recipient.
ATRS can use data to determine exactly what each recipient receives—so one automated schedule can generate and distribute many different versions of the same Tableau report.
One schedule can replace dozens—or hundreds—of manually maintained report subscriptions.
Run Tableau Reports on Your Schedule—or When Business Events Happen
ATRS can run Tableau reports on fixed schedules, custom business calendars or in response to operational events—so report delivery happens when your process requires it, not just at a preset time.
ATRS can make report delivery part of the business process itself—not just another recurring calendar task.
Deliver Tableau Reports Wherever Your Business Needs Them
ATRS can automatically route finished Tableau reports to the people, systems and storage locations your workflow requires—without forcing every recipient to log in to Tableau.
ATRS separates report delivery from Tableau access. Recipients can receive the finished information they need through the appropriate channel without every distribution workflow depending on direct Tableau access.

Frequently Asked Questions
Learn how ATRS handles deployment, scheduling, personalization, export formats and report delivery.
Deployment & Security
Yes. ATRS is an on-premises solution installed on a server in your environment. Its application database can be stored on that server or in an enterprise SQL Server instance that you manage.
ATRS runs in your environment. ChristianSteven does not host the ATRS database or store your reporting data. ATRS connects to Tableau using the configured Tableau account so it can run and export reports.
ATRS inherits the Tableau security permissions of the Tableau account used for the connection. You can then apply report parameters and filters within the ATRS schedule to control the data included in each exported report.
Yes. ATRS supports PDF encryption, password protection, print and copy permissions, and DRM-related security options. Passwords can also be data-driven so different recipients receive individually protected files.
Scheduling & Automation
Yes. In addition to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual schedules, ATRS supports custom business frequencies such as working days, last day of the month and 4-4-5 calendars. Holiday calendars and blackout periods can also be used.
Yes. ATRS can trigger report workflows when a database record is created, modified or deleted, when a file appears or changes, when an unread email is detected, and from other supported operational events.
Yes. Event-triggered scheduling allows report generation and delivery to begin when defined business or system conditions are met rather than relying only on a fixed time schedule.
Yes. ATRS can detect blank reports and then take the action you define, such as doing nothing, running a workflow or sending the report anyway.
Personalization & Distribution
Yes. ATRS Data-Driven Schedules can run the same report repeatedly with different parameter values and distribute each resulting version to the appropriate recipient.
Yes. Database tables and queries can dynamically control recipients, filters, parameters, output formats, destinations and other schedule variables at runtime.
Yes. ATRS can export Tableau reports to files and distribute those finished outputs outside Tableau. Recipients receive the exported report through the configured delivery method rather than needing to access the report directly in Tableau.
Yes. A single data-driven schedule can generate multiple report versions by applying different parameter values, recipients, formats and destinations for each database record returned at runtime.
Formats & Delivery
ATRS supports PDF, CSV, HTML, JPG, PNG, PowerPoint, EPUB, Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), and Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), including a separate Excel Data Only option.
Yes. ATRS can consolidate multiple exported reports into report packages, including multi-tabbed Excel workbooks. The current ATRS page also supports multi-report PDF delivery workflows.
ATRS can deliver reports to Email, Disk and network folders, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Dropbox, FTP, Azure Blob Storage, Amazon S3, printers, and SMS destinations, depending on the reporting workflow.
Yes. ATRS can export all pages of a report, or you can specify an individual page or page range.

Read what PBRS users say about their experience.
The system handles both SQL Reporting Services & Power BI in a single solution which fits for our current and future needs. The support team is very easy to reach, and very professional. Product updates & patches are released every month, covering enhancement requests that they received from customers, which is nice!”
ChristianSteven has provided excellent support. In a recent case, even though the issue wasn't with PBRS your staff members took the time to identify the issue & come up with a couple of suggestions to resolve it.
ChristianSteven has also developed multiple custom features to meet our specific needs.”
The YouTube channel was able to demonstrate the functionality and ease of use of the application, and the Knowledgebase documentation was thorough enough to allow us to use the software without any formal training.
