Microsoft Power BI service provides a solid base for your Business Intelligence reports. You can customize your Power BI reports for your company's needs. Microsoft Power BI service also provides various ways to print your Business Intelligence data. Power BI printing is very easy: you can print an entire dashboard, a dashboard tile, a report page, or a report visual from Power BI service.
Print a Dashboard
Power BI provides a simple feature for printing dashboards which can be quite handy in board meetings and also in various discussions. Simply open the dashboard that you would like to print, choose "print dashboard," select your print settings, and you are all set to go. If your focus is narrow, you can also choose to print a particular dashboard tile, which essentially allows you to expand a certain visual and print its details.
Print a Report Page or Visual
Using Power BI printing software, reports can be printed one page at a time. You cannot print the entire report together. Additionally, you can print any visual such as charts, graphs from your power BI reports. This is a nice feature to have, especially if you have subscribed to power BI emails. From the comfort of your cubicle, you can simply choose a particular page or visual for your Power BI printing needs.
Print as PDF
If you have a PDF printer driver installed, you can even generate PDF output based on your Power BI reports. This was one of the most awaited features of power BI printing. The PDF is a reflection of your dashboard. Therefore, you need to set up the dashboard accordingly. You may or may not have access to a printer, so having the ability to print to a PDF document is very convenient and adds to the flexibility of using Power BI service.
PBRS (Power BI Reports Scheduler) is a third-party tool that can automatically print your reports to PDF and deliver them by email on a scheduled basis. Here's a brief video of its other capabilities.
